INDIAN TEA IN INDIAN STYLE

Indian tea, also known as masala chai, is a popular beverage enjoyed in India and around the world. Here's a simple recipe to make Indian tea at home:

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon loose tea leaves or 1 tea bag
  • 1-2 teaspoons sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 2-3 crushed green cardamom pods
  • 1-2 small pieces of fresh ginger root (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a small saucepan, bring water to a boil.

  2. Add the crushed cardamom pods and ginger root (if using) to the boiling water.

  3. Let the spices simmer for a minute or two until the water becomes fragrant.

  4. Add the loose tea leaves or tea bag to the saucepan and let it steep for 2-3 minutes.

  5. Add milk to the saucepan and bring the mixture to a boil. Keep stirring to prevent the milk from burning.

  6. Add sugar and stir until it dissolves.

  7. Turn off the heat and strain the tea into cups using a tea strainer.

Your Indian tea is ready! You can serve it hot or cold, depending on your preference. You can also adjust the amount of sugar or milk according to your taste.

Enjoy!
